My Rocky Path to Odinism

Editor’s Note:

Perhaps one of the most marvelous things about being involved with an Odinist organization is the opportunity to meet those very special people who have reached the final stage of de-programming … those who have the courage to embrace our own native European religion… those few, but rapidly increasing numbers of European ancestry folk who refuse to bow down to the foreign cult of Jewish god worship.

Not everyone makes it to this point, but those that do tend to be exceptional people who are remarkable for their ability to resist brainwashing. Despite everything, they engage in independent, and even tribal, thought. Not one of them is a fence sitter or a collaborator. Odinists are to be admired not just for their intellect, but for their strength of will. These are the people who see clearly, and who, regardless of overwhelming odds, are healthy, sane, and whole.

So many of us have been caught in that dark and demonic pit of Christianity that we appreciate what our brothers and sisters who have not yet made the leap must feel: the confusion, repressed anger, or cognitive dissonance… We hope that anyone who is hovering on the edge of doing so gains enough momentum to pull himself or herself out of the Semitic quagmire and join us.  If you do, we are here to help you out of that place of spiritual slavery.

It is always interesting to hear about such journeys to freedom… about just how these heroic people, the first of our kind to dare to venture off the path of Jewish slavery so very clearly laid out for us, have made their way to open fields and fresh clean air where they can breathe. It never fails to give me hope when I see anyone of our race brave enough to do this. It reminds me that we should remember that it is possible to wake our friends, our loved ones, and even complete strangers, to the truth.

Having told everyone I could about the truth ever since I knew it myself, and, as all of us do, received some fairly bizarre abuse from zombies, trolls, and the like for doing so,  there yet are odd moments when I know it is worthwhile. There was the time I talked to a rather unwell looking veteran at the beach, and told him, among many other important things, about the U.S.S. Liberty. I saw him many months later and did not recognize him at first, because he was not the same man. He stood and saluted me with a steely eye and with that great confidence and strength one has when one finally at least knows who the enemy is. He said, “I looked all of it up. I KNOW. ”

I barely knew this man, but for a mom ent, we shared a bond of camaraderie that filled us both with awe. In that moment, I think I can fairly say that for both of us, the veil of time, and the oppression of the last thousand years slipped away, to be replaced by the determination that must have been felt by our ancient Pagan ancestors, like a flash of lightning that lights up a dark sea. Despite all the enforced gloom and lies, we know, and now that we do, we have a chance to do something about it.

This was one of the first such moments for me, but it has hardly been the last. Like some sort of ancient lotus seed that has been lying in the mud for more than thousand years and has finally germinated, I see awareness rising everywhere among those who are worthy of their great ancestors. The spirit of reason and resistance  is spreading almost as wildly as the cultural Marxism that was forced upon us. If we keep trying, it may rise up, even in the most barren and desolate places, and bloom..

I am honored to share with you a story of awakening by one of these real heroes, Mr. Todd Askins.

I spent my childhood in the quiet secluded countryside on farms in the mid-west, being raised as a Baptist from home and in the church. I worked every day as we had plenty of chores to keep us busy and I enjoyed my time off out in the woods with nature and often spent late evenings watching the stars. I remember from a young age that church never felt right and always questioned to myself why I felt I was not a part of this religion and why I felt like I was an outsider.

Needless to say, I finished my teen years trying everything I could to keep from church; I then joined the military at age 17. I finally felt free from the church’s guilt that they had imposed as if I had escaped. When I was stationed in Italy I spent every moment I could studying old history books in European libraries. There were a lot of interesting books, but I was limited to the English language. I spent quite a bit of time in Germany, France, Greece, Romania, and England as well, watching and learning how different people and cultures were, and it taught me a lot about the things I had been conditioned to believe as a child and that I had been manipulated into thinking, were the opposite of what I was learning on my own. For these were my people!

I was sent to the Gulf Wars and that was, in fact, the most dramatic part of my eye opening experience as it shut me off from society when I returned home (the place I swore I would never return to) until I realized it really was a good quiet place to live. I was reclusive and very unsociable, which allowed me to watch and study people and my surroundings. This was to my benefit because I was really the outsider looking in.

I began to see the evil influences of the Jew, Negro, and other races which I had studied about in Europe and interacted with in the wars. I was already anti-government and I saw that this alien influence on my race and traditional beliefs was overwhelming. It gave me the notion to go back and learn who we were. I unwittingly joined the Masons and became a 32° Scottish Rite Mason before I realized that the Scottish Rite was not what it seemed. I then removed myself from the Jew infiltrated Masons and began another quest to find my way.

Eventually, I found my way to look into Odinism. I had always heard of Thor, Loki, and other comic book heroes, but they were fictitious characters, right? I had read about some of them in Europe, but for some reason never followed up as I was obsessed with what the Church had done in scattering my beliefs. I then started directly learning about the real traditions of our people and my Gods with the help of one wonderful dedicated, caring lady, and Odinia International, I believe I have truly found my way on the right path where I feel very comfortable and complete for the first time in my life.

I now look to the quiet peaceful country side as I did when I was a child, but with a feeling of being content and having purpose as I spend my days with my wife learning who we really are and becoming more and more traditional folk with each day passing! I am truly hungry to learn our old ways and protective of my people from the enemies that surround us.

HAIL ODIN!
